You’re an essential part of who we are. You’re a vital part of the Whole.
We need you to be healthy.
We need you to feel fulfilled to be able to create enough.
We need you to be in love with yourself.
We need you to feel deeply connected to the reason you were born
it is your birthright to live in alluring beauty
Your home is a powerful force in your life and like so many people I suspect you have not reflected on why this is. Or how your homes affect your daily lives.
This is not judgement. I am sharing my observations from years of experience working with clients. It does not matter where in the world they live, clients share similar stories and fears.
For some, creating a beautiful home somehow makes them feel guilty. Like spending time and money on improving our surroundings is frivolous. There are more important things we should be worrying about than how we feel about our home. Right?
Many of my clients are Type A and they tried many times to redecorate their homes. The plethora of interior design inspiration online, on TV and in magazines left them feeling overwhelmed. Even worse, during the process of finding 'design inspiration" they lost touch with their authentic design style and the vision for their home.
If you’re feeling frustrated or annoyed or embarrassed by your house, you’re not alone.
Your sense of well-being is rooted in your connection with your home. Even your identity, who you are as a person, is expressed and mirrored in your home. Your home is an extension of who you are. How you feel about your home affects how you feel about yourself.
When you feel better about your home, you feel better about yourself. Creating a home you love is not selfish. It is one of the deepest acts of love. It is taking care of yourself and your family. It is reminding you of who you are in the deepest sense. It is reconnecting you with what really matters in your life and what brings you joy.
Be you & share that with the world. Then you are all you came here to be. Sarah, Urban Savvy Design
Being a mother to a boy with a big heart and a magnanimous spirit has called me to explore the biggest question I have ever asked myself.
"You have one precious life, Sarah. How do you want to feel while you're alive"
This started the journey towards exploring love, wellness, self-care and a more wholehearted way of living life through Interior Design
In a true sense, a woman is the very existence of nature. She is selfless-love, purity, grace and dignity. She symbolises virtue, great inner strength, tremendous patience, resilience and fortitude. She is the pillar of strength not only to her family but also to her community and society as a whole
I believe personal authentic style always triumphs over design trends. Creativity is a heart-centred inspiration and its birthplace is in your soul. Interior design is one expression of creativity, yet it influences how we live, work and most importantly how we connect with ourselves, each other and nature.
You are the essence of your home and this is the permission you may need;
you are allowed to want a beautiful home
you are creative enough
it is okay to need support through the creative process
The art of living is to elevate your well-being and joy. The purpose of interior design is to achieve it.
So, where do you start?
Asking catalytic questions about your lifestyle, spiritual practices, and goals for the future is the foundation for creating the vision you will manifest through the design process.
My commitment to design is to create spaces that inspire, empower women through the process, and create a sense of true belonging through authentic expression using interior design. I trust you will find the below resources supportive.

One of my favourite podcasts was with Eleftheria, a psychologist and spiritual teacher. In these Podcasts, we took a deep dive into "Interior Therapy". I have no doubt this podcast will inspire you!
We took a deep dive into
The connection between interior and exterior
Self - Care
Women as the architects of society
Creating a home you love has more to do with psychology than the latest design trends. Nor do you need a tonne of money to make a tangible difference to the look and feel of your home.
I hope I have changed your perspective on interior design and given you permission and resources to create a home you love.
Remember wanting to redesign or redecorate your home is an act of self-love. The interior journey is really about coming home inside of ourselves
